Job Overview

We are a digital marketing agency based in the South, which specialises in the veterinary sector. Our mission is to help veterinary businesses educate, gain and retain ideal clients using cutting-edge digital marketing techniques.

The Accounts Director role would ideally suit an ambitious Account Manager looking to take the next step in their career. The role will involve managing a large range of clients across the sector with a special focus on vet practice and pharmaceutical clients.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, comfortable with speaking to a variety of stakeholders, a good problem solver and must be highly organised.

  • You will be leading a team of two other Account Managers, supporting them with retaining and growing their accounts.
  • You will inherit a large number of existing accounts and the role will be focussed on retaining and up-selling services to clients throughout the year.
  • You will help to define the strategy for clients and will be given a lot of freedom to define your role and the best ways to work across the business. 
  • The accounts are multidisciplinary and you will responsible for setting up best practice across the range of accounts and looking for opportunities to better serve client requirements. 
  • You will sit at the top table of the agency and work directly with the founders.

Skills / Experience / Attributes we are looking for

  • Great knowledge of digital marketing. 
  • You will be a solutions-oriented strategist. You will develop and ensure the effective implementation of forward-thinking strategic plans and delivery of compelling work.
  • Ideally 3-5 years of account management experience; agency setting highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing strong client relationships and the ability to approach business with confidence and awareness.
  • Animal lovers preferred with experience of vet industry ideal but not essential.
  • The role is remote working with regular team meetings in Whiteley, the role also involves travelling to meet clients and attend trade shows.

Contract terms

Post: Permanent (following a successful 3-month probation period)

Start date: ASAP

Location: Home-based (Travel is required to visit accounts, attend congresses and for team meetings at our Whiteley base)

Annual leave: 30 days per annum (including bank holidays). Following the probation period, we also offer your birthday off and two extra days that must be taken around Christmas (increasing annual leave allowance to 33 days per annum, including bank holidays).
