VetsDigital Director, Claire has been announced as a finalist for Digital Mother of the Year

The Digital Women Awards celebrates women from their community and beyond who are doing incredible work in digital and business.

At the 2021 Awards, entrants were also judged on their ability to pivot their businesses and help others in need in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown. The Digital Women Awards are open to any and all women working in digital industries and entrepreneurship, and entrants go through a rigorous judging process by their esteemed panel.

Digital Women’s Digital Mother of the Year award recognises and celebrates women who are working in digital, or using it in business, and also happen to be parents. Digital Mothers are juggling work and home life and often having to overcome many new challenges.

Director of Avviso Media and Founder of Digital Women, Lucy Hall, said: “We are really excited to once again celebrate all of the incredible women going over and above and doing truly amazing things in the digital space. This is a particularly important time to celebrate businesswomen, entrepreneurs and all people in digital industries, as the pandemic has been transforming the digital space and everyone has had to pivot, change and grow in response.

“The entries were of a very high standard this year, so a huge congratulations is owed to all of those who reached the final shortlists. I’m so glad we get to recognise all of these fantastic achievements from our community and beyond at the Digital Women Awards 2021.”

Digital Women is an online skill-sharing community where women can learn new and improve their existing digital skills, while being supported and inspired by other women. Their mission is to inform, educate and empower as many women as possible through digital skills. They want to help close the digital skills gap and ensure women are valued and respected in the ever-growing range of digital industries. The Awards are a celebration of the people making waves in digital and business. The 2021 Awards ceremony took place on 25th November in London.

Claire joined the agency in 2017 after working in veterinary practice for seven years as a practice manager. Claire is a certified Facebook Professional and Lead Trainer. She is passionate about improving animal welfare through pet owner education and supports StreetVet by volunteering as social media coordinator.

Claire, Director of Services at VetsDigital, said: “I was delighted to discover that I had been announced as a finalist for the Digital Mother of Year back on International Women’s Day in March this year. While working for VetsDigital, supporting veterinary practices and animal charities with their digital marketing during the pandemic has certainly been a challenge whilst juggling parenting responsibilities. Still, it’s been something that I have embraced with both hands.

“I’d like to say thank you to the amazing team at VetsDigital for all of [their] support and for creating such a nurturing working environment that has encouraged me to go from strength to strength over the past five years.”
