Not, I hasten to add, that you would deliberately misuse it – you wouldn’t sell their details, or pass them on without consent, would you? However, your practice database is worth a fortune in the wrong hands – and that means that there are people out there who would put a lot of time and effort into stealing it – and that is something you need to care about – for moral, professional and legal reasons.
Most of our readers will probably be aware of the Best UK Vets Awards which we sponsor, but for those who don’t, it’s a reflection of our commitment to genuine, client-led reviews. On the websites VetHelpDirect.com and Any-UK-Vet.co.uk, clients can leave reviews of their practice. They are invited to leave a star-review (one star for abysmal, five for excellent), plus any comments about that practice.
On 10th of February we then count up all the four and five-star reviews, and the practice with the most is declared the winner. They receive free publicity from us (like this blog, among other things!), a series of press releases, and an awards ceremony & after-party for their clients, PR materials, a trophy, certificate, banner…the list goes on!
