VetsDigital offers social media expertise to Vetlife in awareness raising campaign

VetsDigital, Europe’s largest digital marketing agency for the veterinary sector, has recently announced its support to Vetlife.

Digital marketing agency VetsDigital has pledged social media resources to aid UK based charity Vetlife. Vetlife provides essential support to the veterinary community via its three services: Vetlife Helpline, Health Support and Financial Support.

In 2022, applications for Vetlife Financial Support increased by 236%, highlighting the growing need for help within the veterinary community. The charity provides a 24/7 confidential Helpline which is open to all members of the veterinary community including vet nurses, students, and other practice non-clinical staff.

Vetlife Helpline received 3,503 contacts in 2022, up 3.3% from the 2021 total of 3,390. The Health Support service which provides award winning mental health care saw a 15.5% increase in referrals during 2022.

Utilising VetsDigital’s expertise in digital marketing, specifically in social media content creation, Vetlife aims to raise awareness of its Friends of Vetlife membership campaign and to raise vital funds to keep up with the increasing demand on its resources.

“Vetlife does important work supporting veterinary colleagues in their time of need, and we are honoured to support their efforts through our digital marketing expertise,” said Claire Simper Director of Services, VetsDigital.

“Coming from practices ourselves, we know first-hand how challenging life can be on the veterinary frontline. We also know how much time it can take to maintain a strong online presence and build awareness of support services. That’s why we’re committed to using our expertise and our time to help Vetlife achieve their goals and make a real difference in the lives of those they serve.”

Thanking VetsDigital for their support, Vetlife President Graham Dick highlighted the need to encourage membership of the charity. “Historically one of the principal sources of funds for benevolent charities such as Vetlife was the membership subscription from the profession itself. This still continues, but I feel sure there are many more veterinary professionals who wish to support the valuable work the charity does for the veterinary community, who may not be aware how simple it can be to help.”

“This welcome support from VetsDigital will enable us to get the message out to veterinary professionals of how simple it can be to become a Friend of Vetlife and to make a real contribution to the work we do.”

To become a Friend of Vetlife for as little as £4.20 per month, please visit the Vetlife  website.
