How we began…

As a practising vet, our founder Susie became frustrated with the lack of reliable tools and resources to assist pet owners in understanding when veterinary attention was required. So, in 2006, VetHelpDirect.com was launched.

Since that time, VetHelpDirect has grown to include a Vet Directory and Reviews platform, a Symptom Checker and Poisons Guide, an online Pet Health Library and, more recently, a Video Consultation Platform. VetHelpDirect also runs the annual Best UK Vet Awards.

In the last few years, supporting veterinary practices with expert digital marketing support services has become a key focus of the business and our team of digital and veterinary experts has continually grown.

Today we have a 14-strong digital marketing agency with our core hands-on digital team having a combined 90+ years veterinary experience and that’s not even including our additional network of veterinary qualified content writers. The agency has dedicated teams covering web design and development, SEO, social media, online ads, bespoke copywriting and live web chat services, supporting businesses across the veterinary industry – not just vet practices.

Time for change…

In recognition of our growth and brand proposition, in 2019 we rebranded the agency side of the business from ‘VetHelpDirect for Vets’ to ‘VetsDigital’.

Soon, that wasn’t quite enough. As both sides to the company grew, the decision was taken in early 2020 for the companies to separate. VetHelpDirect.com continues to look after tools to support vet practices, made up of specialists who are passionate about improving animal welfare by connecting vets with their clients through technology. As for our team here at VetsDigital, it’s probably fair to say that we are now Europe’s leading digital agency that specialises in the veterinary sector.
